Second edition, from the library of Kenneth Grant, an influential student of Aleister Crowley, Unmarked as such but retained in the family, as indicated by a note left by the previous seller Peter Harrington.
Violet Mary Firth (1890-1946), known as Dion Fortune, is recognised alongside Crowley as one of the most important modern British occult writers. After finding herself the subject of a powerful psychic attack in the 1930s, Fortune wrote this detailed instruction manual on protecting oneself from paranormal attack.
